2020 BRITTANY TOUR
A 10 day clock-wise tour of Brittany starting and finishing in St.Malo. On this tour we stay in 4 stylish hotels, each for two nights making the tour quite relaxed.
10 DAY TOUR: June 8th- 17th ( 10days/ 9 nights )
COST: TBC € per person based on 2 people sharing a car and hotel room
The costs, per person, are based on two people per car sharing a hotel bedroom and include the following:
- Accommodation in stylish hotels ( 8 nights )
- Breakfast daily
- 3 course dinners, ( 8 nights )
- Comprehensive road book with daily itineraries and detailed route notes
- Highlighted Michelin maps of Brittany
- Services of a Tour Director throughout the tour
- Outward overnight ferry from Portsmouth-St. Malo with club class cabin, ( upgrade to Commodore cabin at an extra cost of £60 subject to availability
- Return daytime ferry from Cherbourg to Portsmouth with reserved seats
NOT INCLUDED ARE THE FOLLOWING :
- Lunches,snacks,coffees etc.
- Drinks with dinner including bottled water and coffee
- Entry to places of interest eg.museums, gardens,chateaux, etc.

- Ferries in Brittany to islands
A 10 day tour of Brittany starting with an overnight ferry crossing to St.Malo from Portsmouth.
We then drive south to our first chateau hotel near Vannes in Southern Brittany where we stay for two nights.
The next day we explore the Golfe du Moribhan area by boat before returning to our hotel.
The next day we drive around the Golfe du Morbihan and visit Carnac and Quiberon before arriving at our new chateau hotel for the next 2 nights just south of Hennebont near Lorient.
The following day we visit Pont Aven a pretty town famous for the artists that it attracted in the 19th century. Our lunch stop is Concarneau on the coast.
On our 6th day we drive west to Locoran one of France's most beautiful villages where our hotel for the next two nights is located nearby.
The following day we explore the adjacent Crozon peninsula.
On our 8th day we drive north-west to Ploumanach just north of Perros-Guirec where our hotel for the next two nights is located overlooking a picturesque bay .
The next day we explore the pretty coastal region to the west of Ploumanch.
On our 10th day, our final day, we drive via St.Malo to Cherbourg to catch the afternoon ferry back to Portsmouth.
Day 1 Monday 8th June Portsmouth-St. Malo ferry

Day 2 Monday 9th June St. Malo to Missilac ( 115 miles )
The overnight ferry from Portsmouth arrives in St Malo at 8.15am and after re-assembling we drive south to Ploermel our morning coffee stop.We then continue to Malestroit our lunch stop where we visit the museum dedicated to the French Resistance. After lunch we continue to our afternoon coffee stop, Rochefort en Terre, one of France's most beautiful villages. We then drive south-east to Missilac where our hotel for the next two nights, Domaine de la Bretesche, is located.

Day 3 Wednesday 10th June Missilac, local excursion. ( miles )
to Kervignac ( 155 miles )
Our route takes us west to Port Navalo our morning coffee stop where there is an option to take a boat ride around the scenic Moribhan Gulf .
Day 4 Thursday 11th June Missilac to Kervignac ( 155 miles )
We leave our hotel and drive around the gulf through Vannes to La Trinite sur Mer to Carnac where we visit the stones.
We then drive north west to St.Cado our afternoon coffee stop where we stop to visit the island linked by a pedestrian causeway.
We then continue to our hotel for the next two nights, Chateau de Locguenole, just south of Hennebont.
Day 5 Friday 12th June Kervignac, local excursion ( 85 miles )
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to our morning coffee stop, Pont -Aven a pretty village famous as the haunt of artists in the previous century. We then drive to Concarneau our morning coffee stop where we visit the old walled town.
We then drive back to our hotel Chateau de Locguenole.
Day 6 Saturday 13th June Kervignac to Plonevez Porzay ( 60 miles )
Bidding farewell to Chateau de Locguenole we head west via Quimper to Locoran, another of France's most beautiful villages and our lunch stop. Our hotel for the next two nights, a converted 17th century Manor House, is less than two miles away in Plonevez Porzay.
Day 7 Sunday 14th June Plonevez Porzay local excursion ( 45 miles )
Today we drive aroud the Crozon peninsula before returning to our hotel.
Day 8 Monday 15th June Plonevez Porzay to Ploumanach (100 miles )
We bid farewell to West Brittany and drive north-west to Morlaix our morning coffee stop. We then drive east along the coast to Locquirec, our lunch stop. Our afternoon coffee stop is Trebeurden then we drive further along the coast to Ploumanach where our hotel for the next two nights in located on a pretty bay.

Day 9 Tuesday 16th June Ploumanach, local excursion, ( 50 miles )
Today we explore the coastal region to the east with visits to Lezardrieux and Pointe de l'Arcouest where we take a boat trip to the Ile de Brehat.

Day 10 Wednesday 17th June Ploumanach to Cherbourg ( 248 miles )
After breakfast we take the motorway east via St. Malo then on to Cherbourg where we catch the 17.00 afternoon ferry to Portsmouth.
