2021 BRITTANY TOUR
A 9-day clock-wise tour of Brittany starting in St.Malo and finishing in Caen On this tour, we stay in 4 different hotels, one for 1 night and three for 2 nights making the tour quite relaxed.

THE COSTS ARE BASED ON 2 PEOPLE IN A CAR SHARING A HOTEL ROOM AND CABIN ON OUTWARD FERRY
The costs, per person, are in euros due to the uncertainty of predicting sterling to euros conversion rates and include the following
- Accommodation in stylish hotels ( 7 nights )
- Breakfast daily
- 3-course dinners, ( 7 nights )
- Comprehensive road book with daily itineraries and detailed route notes
- Michelin regional map of Brittany with the route highlighted.
- Services of a Tour Director throughout the tour
- Outward overnight ferry from Portsmouth-St. Malo with club class cabin, ( upgrade to Commodore cabin at an extra cost of approximately £70 subject to availability )
- Return daytime ferry from Caen to Portsmouth with reserved seats
NOT INCLUDED ARE THE FOLLOWING :
- Lunches, snacks, coffees etc.
- Drinks with dinner including bottled water and coffee
- Entry to places of interest eg. museums, gardens, chateaux, etc.
- Autoroute tolls
- Ferries in Brittany to islands
A 9 day tour of Brittany starting with an overnight ferry crossing to St. Malo from Portsmouth.
We then drive south to our 5* chateau hotel east of Vannes in Southern Brittany where we stay for two nights.
The next day we drive to Vannes and take a leisurely boat ride around the Golfe du Morbihan before returning to our hotel in Missilac.
The next day we leave Missilac and drive west to Carnac then onto the Presqu'ile Quiberon peninsula before arriving at Lorient where we visit the Eric Tarbarly sailing museum and Submarine museum. Our hotel for the next two nights is in the pretty village of Pont Aven west of Lorient. Pont Aven is famous for the artists that it attracted in the 19th century.
The following morning we explore Pont Aven, our afternoon coffee stop is Concarneau on the coast. We then return to our hotel in Pont Aven.
The next day we drive west to the Audierne peninsula where we have lunch in Audierne before driving around the coast to Locoran, one of France's most beautiful villages. Our hotel for the night is a hotel close to Locoran. On our 7th day, we drive north-west to Morlaix, near Rocscoff our lunch stop. We then take the scenic coastal road via Plougasnou to Locquirec, where our hotel for the next two nights is located overlooking a picturesque bay.
On our 8th day, we explore the pretty coastal region to the west of Locquirec with morning coffee in Lezardrieux. We then drive up to Pointe de l'Arquest where we take the pedestrian ferry to the island of Arcouest, known as the island of flowers. We then return to our hotel for the final night of the tour.
On our 9th day, our final day, we drive via St. Malo to Caen to catch the afternoon ferry back to Portsmouth.
Day 1 Monday 12th July
Portsmouth-St. Malo ferry ( 20.15 ferry arrives 8.15am Tuesday )
Day 2 Tuesday 13th July
St. Malo to Missilac ( 115 miles )
The overnight ferry from Portsmouth arrives in St Malo at 8.15 am and after re-assembling we drive south to Ploermel our morning coffee stop.
We then continue to Malestroit our lunch stop.
After lunch, we visit a museum dedicated to the French Resistance.
We then continue to our afternoon coffee stop, Rochefort en Terre, one of France's most beautiful villages.
We then drive south-east to Missilac where our 5* chateau hotel for the next 2 nights is located.
Day 3 Wednesday 14th July
Exploring the Morbihan Gulf.
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive 20 miles west to Vannes our morning coffee stop.
We then take a boat ride around the scenic Gulf of Morbihan with all its islands.
In the afternoon we return to our hotel in Missilac.
Day 4 Thursday 15th July
Missilac to Pont Aven ( 155 miles )
We say farewell to Domaine de la Bretesche and drive around Vannes to our morning coffee stop, La Trinite Sur Mer.
After coffee, we visit the famous pre-historic standing stones in Carnac
We then drive onto the Presqu'il Quiberon peninsula.
We then return to the mainland and drive north-west to St. Cado where we stop to visit the scenic island linked by a pedestrian causeway.
We then continue to Lorient where our afternoon coffee stop is the Eric Tarbarly sailing museum and adjacent submarine museum.
We then continue west to Pont -Aven a pretty village famous as the haunt of artists in the previous century. This is where our hotel is located
Day 5 Friday 16th July
Pont Aven, local excursion to Concarneau ( 40 miles )
After a leisurely breakfast, we explore Pont Aven, our morning coffee stop.
We then drive west to nearby Concarneau our lunch stop where we visit the old walled town on the harbour
After lunch, we return to our hotel in Pont Aven
Day 6 Saturday 17th July
Pont Aven to Plonevez Porzay ( 90 miles )
We leave Pont Aven and drive west via Quimper to the Audierne peninsula where we have lunch in Audierne.
We then drive around the Audierne peninsula stopping to admire the views at both Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van.
In the afternoon, we visit Locronan our lunch stop and one of France's most beautiful villages.
We then drive to our hotel for the night
Day 7 Sunday 18th July
Plonevez Porzay to Ploumanac'h (100 miles )
We bid farewell to West Brittany and drive north-west over the Terenez bridge
via Le Faou to Huelgoat, our morning coffee stop.
From Huelgoat we take a scenic route north to Morlaix, near Roscoff our lunch stop.
We then take the coastal road via Plougasnou to Locquirec, where our hotel for the next two nights is located.
Day 8 Monday 19th July
Locquirec, local excursion ( 50 miles)
Today we explore the coastal region to the east with visits to Lezardrieux our morning coffee stop.
We then drive to Pointe de l'Arcouest.
Here we take a boat trip to the Ile de Brehat known as the island of flowers
Day 9 Tuesday 20th July
Locquirec to Caen Ferry ( 220 miles )
After breakfast we take the motorway east via St. Malo then on to Caen where we catch the 4.30 pm afternoon ferry to Portsmouth.
The ferry to Portsmouth arrives at 9.15pm
